Seventeen Ninety Eight Memorial

The Bronze Fence

To deter vandals a bronze fence was put across the front of the Memorial in 1927.  It was
designed by the architect, John F Hennessy, before  he died in 1924.  It is a work of art
in itself.

  Names added in 1947
